Yes. Every shape was tested full before it went into production, and a spout that dribbled was reshaped until it did not. They are glazed inside as well as out and the capacities on each product page were measured by filling the pot rather than calculated from the mould.

What they are not is fast. A novelty spout is shorter and wider than a conventional one, so pour slowly and the pot behaves.

Yes, but warm the pot first with a little hot water, tip it out, then brew. Earthenware is thicker than porcelain and does not like going from cold to boiling in one step — not because it will crack immediately, but because repeated thermal shock is what eventually crazes a glaze.

Neither. The glaze is food-safe, but hand-painted detail does not survive a dishwasher cycle, and several shapes carry metallic paint that should never go in a microwave. Hand wash, warm water, soft cloth.

From 6 fl oz for the gold tap to 45 fl oz for the radio. The one-cup pots are 6 to 15 fl oz; the medium ones are 15 to 45. Every product page states the capacity and the weight.

No, and the photographs do not show scale. There are three broad sizes: one-cup pots around 5 to 8 in long, and medium pots around 6 ½ to 9 in. Check the dimensions on the product page before you plan a shelf.

Because it was painted by a person. The toast browning, the exact placement of a brass detail and the way the glaze pools in a corner all vary between pots. Colour is consistent; detail is not, and that is the point.

We read them. A new shape means a new plaster mould and a run large enough to justify it, so the honest answer is that most suggestions do not get made. The ones that do are the ones several people ask for.

No. Nothing is numbered and nothing is artificially scarce. If a shape sells we make more.

$6.95 anywhere in the United States and $16.95 everywhere else, per order, however many pots are in it. There is no free-shipping threshold.

Orders leave within two business days. US delivery is typically 5 to 8 business days after that; international is 10 to 20, depending on customs. Tracking arrives when the carrier scans the parcel, not when the label is printed.

Each pot sits in a moulded insert with the lid wrapped and packed separately, because a loose lid inside a pot is how both of them break. The outer box is sized for the pot rather than filled with loose paper.

Photograph the outer box before you unpack any further and email us within seven days of delivery. We replace it and we do not ask you to send the broken one back. Keep the packaging until the claim is settled in case the carrier asks to see it.

30 days from delivery, for any reason, provided the pot is unused and back in its original box. Return postage is yours unless the pot is faulty or we sent the wrong thing. We refund to the original payment method once it arrives.

Write to us. We hold spare lids from production for every shape and will usually just send one rather than take a whole pot back.
