Tap Teapot — Gold

An old brass bib tap standing on a small tiled base. The four-spoke cross handle lifts off as the lid, the nozzle is the spout, and the tap body is the pot. It is the most literal piece in the range and the one that makes people pick it up.

The gold is a reflective lustre glaze, applied over a warm base so it reads as aged brass rather than a shiny new fitting. The tile base is glazed separately in pale grey with blue grout lines, which stops the whole thing looking like a single lump of metal.

This is a one-cup pot — about 6 fl oz, which is one good mug and no more. Buy it because you like it on the shelf, not because you want to pour for four.
