Radio Teapot

A valve radio of the rounded nineteen-fifties sort, in a warm walnut glaze with a cream speaker panel, two brass tuning knobs and a brass tuning bar between them. A small cup and saucer sits on the top and lifts off as the lid.

The tuning bar carries no station names. Real sets list cities and frequencies, and a legible list of them on a teapot looks like a photograph of something else — so the bar is left as a plain brass slider.

This is the largest pot in the range at roughly 45 fl oz, which is five to six cups, and it is the only one we would call properly practical for a table rather than a shelf. It is also the heaviest.
