Range Cooker Teapot in navy: a ceramic cast-iron range with a kettle lid, a red striped tea towel on the rail and a cream pot on the hob

Range Cooker Teapot — Navy

$42.00

A cast-iron kitchen range in deep navy, with two chrome hotplate rings on top. The small stove kettle is the lid. A red-striped tea towel hangs over the front rail and a cream enamel pot sits on the second ring, both modelled in the clay rather than added on.

The detail that takes the longest is the rail: it is a separate thin bar, fired in place, and it is also the first thing to break if the pot is dropped. Treat it as a handle for the towel and not for the pot.

One-cup size at roughly 15 fl oz. There are three colours in this shape and they were drawn from the same mould, so a pair or a row of three lines up exactly.

Specification

  • Capacity: approximately 15 fl oz (one to two cups)
  • Dimensions: approximately 8 × 3 ½ × 5 ½ in (20 × 9 × 14 cm)
  • Weight: approximately 20 oz
  • Earthenware, food-safe glaze inside and out
  • Lift-off lid formed by the stove kettle
  • Modelled tea towel, rail and enamel pot, hand-painted

Hand wash only, in warm water with a soft cloth. No dishwasher and no long soak — the glaze is food-safe but the hand-painted detail does not enjoy detergent, and the front rail is the most fragile part of the piece. Full guidance is on Care & Materials.
